Lamb has served on the board since 2014, and will now lead it.
Former USF basketball player Brian Lamb was elected as the chair of the USF Board of Trustees on Thursday. Lamb takes the place of Harold W. Mullis, who will continue as a trustee. Jordan Zimmerman, advertising mogul and namesake for the Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications, will serve as Lamb's vice chair.
"It's a privilege to assume this leadership role during a transformational time in USF history," Lamb said. "I will remain focused on the university's primary goal of student success and preparing them for the competitive global workplace.
