A substitute teacher and athletic trainer at Boyd Anderson High School told police he knew having sex with a 16-year-old student was wrong but that he was unable to control his actions.
Carlos Javier Rojas Paz, 25, of Sunrise, and the girl, now 17, also exchanged sexually suggestive photos. Their encounters happened in his apartment and car, Sunrise police said.
Rojas Paz was arrested Thursday and is charged with seven counts of sexual battery on a victim under 18.
He met the girl in February 2014 and they spent time together at an athletic team's practices, according to Sunrise Police Detective Shelly Marchese's report.
