A Florida woman jailed in a long-running dispute over her son's circumcision has been released from jail.
Heather Hironimus spent nine nights behind bars. The 31-year-old woman was released late Saturday.
Hironimus fled with her 4-year-old son as her legal options fighting the boy's surgery dwindled. She had been charged with contempt of court and interference with child custody.
The contempt charge was dropped Friday after she tearfully gave in to a judge's demand that she sign a form consenting to the procedure.
Hironimus and the boy's father have been warring for years over the issue.
