TAMPA (Aug. 30, 2016) – Head men’s tennis coach Ashley Fisher will begin his first year at the helm of the program when the fall season kicks off in late September.
Fisher, who helped lead the men’s tennis program to its third consecutive conference title as an assistant coach, was named the head coach in late June. Fisher replaces Matt Hill who left for the head job at Arizona State.
Fisher and assistant coach, former pro Jimmy Arias, will be tasked with filling big shoes left behind by All-Americans Roberto Cid and Dominic Cotrone. The team returns four starters from 2016, including NCAA doubles competitors, Sasha Gozun and Vadym Kalyuzhnyy.
