Laksa, already playing for the Latvian Senior National Team, enters as a 6-foot freshman in 2015, with the ability to shoot from anywhere on the floor, as well as create her own shot. She joins USF freshman Laura Ferreira as another Bulls wing playing for the top team in their respective nations.
Laksa played on Latvia's U16, U18 and U20 teams growing up, and plays on the top TTT Riga NBL women's team in the country as well, averaging almost 10 points per game against some of the best players in Europe. Blue Star Europe rated Laksa as a five star recruit.
