TAMPA (Feb. 20, 2017) – Junior infielder Lauren Evans was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after helping USF to a 3-2 weekend.
Evans led USF at the plate with a .500 average and at least one hit in every game. She recorded three multi-hit games over the five-game stretch with eight total bases and four runs. Her .500 slugging percentage and .529 on-base percentage also led the team.
The junior played both third and shortstop, with four putouts and 11 assists on the weekend. Evans also recorded a stolen base and a sacrifice bunt.
