The motor of new Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jordan Phillips has been questioned his entire collegiate career.
His reputation for taking plays off at Oklahoma turned off plenty of teams and coaches on Phillips, whom the Dolphins selected 52nd overall in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. Dolphins defensive line coach Terrell Williams was initially in that critical crowd.
However, during a Davie visit with the Dolphins, Williams, who initially told Phillips he didn’t like him, warmed up to 6-foot-6, 334-pounder, and eventually became his biggest advocate.
