The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting involving a deputy in Oakland Park on Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened in the 1300 block of Northeast 50th Court, authorities said.
The sheriff's office Tweeted around 4:45 p.m. that the subject shot by the deputy had died at Broward Health Medical Center. No one else was injured.
Northeast 50th Court, which is a block north of Commercial Boulevard, was shut down between Northeast 13th and 15thavenues because of the investigation. The closed-off stretch includes Temple Bet Yam and the Merryfield School of Pet Grooming.
