Tampa, Fla., Feb. 4, 2022 – The University of South Florida track and field team wrapped up its first meet of the weekend on Friday night, with Shaneylix Davila breaking her own record twice during the competition and multiple student-athletes moving up the program's top ten lists.
Davila (Kissimmee, Fla.) ran an 8.22 in the 60-meter hurdles qualifying, breaking her own program record set earlier this season, before running another program-record of 8.19 in the finals to take first place in the event. Hannah Connell (Bridgetown, Barbados) finished second in the finals and moved to second on the program's record list with a time of 8.
