TAMPA, JAN. 15, 2016 – USF’s Claudio Correa has made the 36-hole cut at the Latin America Amateur Championship.
Correa carded his second consecutive even-par 72 with four birdies on Friday at Casa De Campo in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The star sophomore from Santiago Chile is currently tied for 11th place and seven shots away from leader Nicolas Echavarria of Colombia.
The top 50 players, plus ties, advanced to Saturday’s third round of an event that began with 107 individuals representing 29 countries and territories. Sunday’s winner gets an invitation to the 2016 Masters and exemptions into The Amateur Championship, the U.
