Cooper City coach used nicknames like 'The Claw' for sex acts on boy, investigators say

A Cooper City baseball coach is accused of fondling and sexually assaulting a boy during a sleepover and during car rides, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

David Solomon, 47, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and is being held in the Broward Main Jail without bond. According to his arrest affidavit, Solomon is a baseball coach with the Optimist Club of Cooper City.

The alleged victim is an 11-year-old boy who said the sex acts happened up to eight times. The fondling and sexual assault began in early April during a sleepover at the coach's Cooper City home in the 10500 block of Zurich Street, according to the arrest report filed in the case.
