IRVING, Texas, DEC. 14, 2020 – On the heels of averaging a double-double and leading South Florida to a pair of wins last week, USF senior guard (Youngstown, Ohio) was selected as the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Collins averaged 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game last week in victories over Stetson and Wofford. Collins was also extremely efficient from the field, shooting 58.3 percent from the floor and 60.0 percent from three-point range.
Collins began the week with a game-high 18 points and made eight of his 10 shots from the field in leading USF to a 73-62 victory over Stetson.
