Chance's Golden Goal Gives Bulls Win in Season Opener

Senior Olivia Chance picked up right where she left off, scoring the golden goal in double overtime as the USF women’s soccer team beat Baylor, 2-1, Friday night in Waco.

"It was one of the most physical games we've ever played,” head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said. “It was a real challenge but as the game went on we gained a lot of confidence. I’m really proud of the girls.”

Chance would need just two looks at the goal to give USF a win in its season opener. The senior picked up her first shot on goal in the first overtime period before finding the back of the net in the 102nd minute on an assist by Cristina Ferral.
