Two of the biggest questions during USF football training camp:
Where's the beef on the defensive line?
How will the offensive line be retooled after losing four starters?
Some potential answers:
Defensive tackle Immanuel Hickman (6-foot-3, 300 pounds), a gregarious transfer from East Carolina who has gained 60 pounds of chiseled muscle since arriving in Tampa. As a defensive end for the Pirates he led the team with 8.0 tackles for loss and four sacks in 2021.
Offensive guard Zane Herring (6-5, 319), a transfer from Florida State who has the pedigree to become a USF standout.
