Montgomery, Ala. Feb. 26, 2016 – For the second straight year, the 14th-ranked USF men’s tennis team (7-3) dominated Boise St., 4-0, in the first match of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic.
USF took the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. The 46th-ranked pairing of Dominic Cotrone (Bradenton, Fla.) and Justin Roberts (Nassau, Bahamas) earned the first victory of the doubles competition, 6-2, over Kyle Butters and Toby Mitchell. The duo is now 6-1 on the season. Roberto Cid (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz (Gijon Asturas, Spain) are winners of five straight matches, as they defeated Brian Foley and Pedro Platzeck, 6-2, to clinch the doubles point.
