ORLANDO, FEB. 8, 2016 – USF women’s golf jumped up five spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 10th while matching the program’s 18-hole scoring record in the second round of the UCF Challenge on Monday.
USF carded a 1-under 287 for the third time in school history, an impressive 27-shot improvement from Sunday’s difficult first round that featured wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
Ashley Burke led the way with a 3-under 69 that included six birdies at Eagle Creek Golf Club (par-72, 6,349 yards).
