Call them the "Dirty Dozen'' of USF football, the 12 Super Seniors who are using the extra year of COVID eligibility to help the Bulls' program reach the next level.
Some of them could have played in the NFL. Others might have been ready to move on with real life after some difficult seasons. Not these guys. They are back to pursue a winning season, a bowl game and contending for an American Athletic Conference championship.
"We have been through a lot, but I love this team, every player, every coach, everybody in this building,'' said Bulls center Brad Cecil on Thursday, following USF's second spring practice.
