Bulls Shutout Black Knights Behind Dixon’s Career Game

(Smyrna, Del.) set a new career high nine strike outs in the University of South Florida softball team's 2-0 win on Monday night.

In her ninth career start, Dixon quickly settled in the game, striking out the first two batters she faced. Army wouldn't get a hit until the third inning.

Dixon and Army's Oliva Farris went into a pitching duel, neither allowing more than one hit through the first three innings.

(Sugarloaf, Pa.) started the bottom of the fourth inning with a triple over the center fielder's head. A single from (Seminole) hit a single that bounced off the pitcher's glove, allowed Trivelpiece to score.
