TAMPA, Fla. April 25, 2021 – The University of South Florida softball team won its fourth conference series of the year with an 8-1 victory in the weekend's series finale against Wichita State.
Corrick continued a dominant weekend, tossing her third complete-game victory of the series while also hitting a three-run home run in the fifth inning. AnaMarie Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) went three-for-four at the plate, while also scoring two runs and stealing a base.
Wichita State struck first, scoring on a sacrifice fly on the second play of the game. Corrick shut the Shockers down afterwards, only allowing two more hits in the rest of the contest.
