Four years after leading USF to collegiate softball's grandest stage, Ken Eriksen has reached a personal pinnacle of sorts.
Eriksen, who will enter the 2017 season 137 victories shy of 1,000, was inducted Saturday into the National Softball Hall of Fame at the ASA/USA Softball Celebration in Shreveport, La.
An assistant on the USA's 2004 Olympic gold-medal team and the USA Softball women's national coach since 2011, Eriksen, 55, was inducted for "Meritorious Service."
One of only 22 active coaches with 800 or more wins, Eriksen, the winningest Bulls coach in any sport, has led the softball team to 12 NCAA Regionals and the Women's College World Series in 2012.
