TAMPA, JULY 29, 2016 – Former USF pitcher Tommy Eveld received one of his top professional accolades this week when he was named a Northwest League All-Star on Tuesday night.
Eveld, in his first season of pro baseball, graduated this past spring at USF where he posted nine saves as the Bulls' closer. The right-hander boasts a 1-1 record for the Hilsboro Hops with a 2.20 ERA and three saves. Opponents are batting just .213 against him this season as the Tampa native is also averaging over a strikeout per inning pitched.
Bobby Eveld Makes Minor League Debut
Tommy's brother, Bobby Eveld, threw in his first minor league baseball game on Tuesday.
