TAMPA, JAN. 12, 2017 – USF men’s basketball took time out of its busy practice schedule to support some of the nation’s bravest men and women on Thursday afternoon.
Interim head coach Murry Bartow, assistant coaches Sergio Rouco and Rod Strickland, and the entire team spent two hours visiting with patients at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa.
“My appreciation goes out to everyone who was there because they fought for our country,” junior guard Geno Thorpe said. “I had a great time meeting everybody and I think it was good for our team.
