TAMPA, March 23, 2019 – USF fell to Tulsa, 10-4, in the second game of the its conference-opening series on Saturday night.
Tulsa (20-9, 1-1) scored five runs in the opening frame of play, scatting four hits. The Golden Hurricane scored on a sacrifice fly, a pair of singles and an error.
USF (23-13, 1-1) responded in the bottom of the frame with one run. Freshman Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.) and senior Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) got on base with a walk and a hit-by-pitch before senior Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) hit an RBI single through the left side.
