TAMPA, March 14, 2019 – USF fell to No. 21 Minnesota 3-0, but took down Butler 3-1 in the USF-Michele Smith Pediatric Cancer Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Minnesota (17-7) scored in the top of the first inning. The Gophers scattered four hits in the inning and scored one runner on an RBI single to left field. With two outs and the bases loaded, a second runner made it home on an error. The Gophers added a run in the seventh inning on a double to right center.
USF was held to just two hits in the game, a single through the right side from redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.
