STORRS, CONN., MAY 12, 2017 – It was a true pitcher's duel between the University of South Florida baseball team and UConn in game one of Friday's doubleheader, but the hosts prevailed in 10 innings, 2-1.
The Bulls (38-11, 12-7 The American) got on the board first in the fourth inning, as sophomore Coco Montes (Miami) doubled, advanced to third on a sac fly, then scored on a wild pitch.
It looked to be enough, as the pitcher's duel continued until the Huskies (26-20, 10-8 The American) led off the seventh with a triple off the bat of Isaac Feldstein.
