TAMPA, MAY 29 2017 – Making its second NCAA regional appearance in three years under head coach Mark Kingston, the University of South Florida baseball team will head to Gainesville as the No. 2 seed.
Also in the regional along with host Florida is three-seeded Bethune-Cookman and fourth-seeded Marist. The Bulls will take on the Wildcats Friday at 1:00 p.m. to open the regional.
The Bulls finished the regular-season and conference tournament with a 41-17 record, as it was the most regular-season wins since 1996. USF was ranked for three-straight weeks inside the top-25 of both the Baseball America and D1Baseball polls, along with other publications such as USA Today.
