ORLANDO, May 3, 2015 – USF got another strong outing from senior pitcher Sam Greiner but couldn’t hold off a late surge by the 15th ranked Knights in the regular-season finale, falling 6-1 at the UCF Softball Complex in Orlando on Sunday afternoon.
Greiner allowed only one run on four hits in four innings of work but was stuck with the loss and fell to 8-5 on the season. UCF (46-7, 16-2 The American) scored all six of its runs in the fifth and sixth innings to seize control of the game and win the series.
