TAMPA, April 6, 2019 – USF recorded its second series win of the season on Saturday night when it defeated ECU, 4-3, after nearly two-hours in a weather delay.
After a lengthy weather delay, USF (28-14, 6-2) was ready to hit the ground running, and took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Seniors Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) and Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) each drew a walk, and redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.) smashed a double through the left side to score two runs.
ECU (19-19, 1-7) answered in the top of the second with a walk and a pair of doubles that scored one runner.
