ORLANDO (Oct. 23, 2015)—The USF women’s soccer team clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament after falling, 3-1, to UCF in the regular season finale Friday night. The second place finish is the highest under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown.
USF finished the regular season with a 13-3-2 record and 6-2-1 conference record. The Bulls finished with 19 points in conference play, just one spot behind UConn, who the Bulls defeated to open conference play.
The match was aggressive from the beginning and the Knights struck first on a deflected shot off USF keeper Kat Elliott.
