USF formally announced the hiring of former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Blue Adams as defensive backs coach, essentially replacing one Miami-born recruiting ace with another.
Adams, who spent last season as cornerbacks coach at West Virginia, replaces Corey Bell, who left after less than a month on Charlie Strong's staff to take the same job at Florida.
"Blue coached one of the best cornerbacks in the country last season (All-Big 12 CB Rasul Douglas) and has great experience both on the collegiate and professional level as a player and a coach," Strong said in a USF press release.
