TAMPA, JUNE 1, 2015–Led by freshman Claudio Correa, who caught fire with four birdies on the back nine, the USF men’s golf team stood in a tie for seventh and in contention after 54 holes at the NCAA Golf Championships in Bradenton. Correa moved into a tie for third in the individual standings at 4-under-par, just three strokes off the pace set by SMU’s Bryson DeChambeau, who had a three-round score of 7-under-par after carding a 72 Sunday.
The par-72, 7,583-yard Concession Golf Club course played tough on a hot and sometimes breezy Sunday, but the Bulls remained resilient to card their best round of the tournament at 4-over-par, 292.
