A boy died, apparently of a gunshot wound, at a Cooper City home Thursday afternoon, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel said at the scene.
"It's with a real heavy heart that we have this tragedy that a youngster lost his life," Israel said.
The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. at a home in the 10000 block of Northwest 41st Street, Dani Moschella, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff's Office, said. The boy's body was seen lying on the floor of the home's garage.
Three boys, two 14 years old and one 16, were at the home when one of them was shot, Israel said.
