The only thing that broke up Burke's 16 consecutive par holes was a birdie on the 8th - Burke's 17th hole of the day - as the sophomore cruised to the sixth-lowest second round score in the 96-player field, shooting a 71 (-1) to move into a tie for 19th place.
Burke's sole par, coming on a 163-yard par-3, elevated her 36 spots and just two strokes behind the cut for an NCAA Championship bid.
The top six teams from the Raleigh regional will advance to The Concession Golf Club for the championship rounds. Of the teams and players not among those six teams, the top three individuals would also advance.
