A U.S. Army recruiter is now facing allegations of sexual misconduct with 10 female students, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
Jose Nieves Jr., 30, of Sunrise, was arrested Friday on a federal complaint alleging he had illegal sexual contact with three high school students in Broward County.
Since then, seven more girls told law enforcement Nieves had inappropriate sexual contact with them in the 18 months he worked as a military recruiter in South Florida, authorities said.
Nine of the girls were underage and the youngest was 15, federal prosecutors said during a bond hearing Tuesday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale.
