Miami native played six seasons in the NFL
TAMPA, FEB. 7, 2017 – University of South Florida head football coach Charlie Strong today announced the addition of Miami native Blue Adams as the Bulls’ defensive backs coach.
Adams, who played four seasons at defensive back in the NFL, including two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, previously served as the cornerbacks coach at West Virginia in 2016, helping the Mountaineers go 10-3 and reach the Capital One Citrus Bowl. WVU cornerback Rasul Douglas led the nation in interceptions per game (0.6) and posted eight total interceptions on the year as he earned second team All-America and first team All-Big 12 honors and was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year by ESPN.
