A grim season for UCF just got grimmer with Monday's news that Jordan Akins, the Knights' most experienced receiver and top return specialist, is out indefinitely after sustaining what is believed to be a torn right ACL, Coach George O'Leary announced.
Akins was hurt on the opening kickoff of the Knights' embarrassing 16-15 loss Saturday to Division I-AA Furman. He joins QB Justin Holman (fractured finger), C Joey Grant (shoulder) and RB Dontravious Wilson (leg) on a shelf growing more congested with each loss.
