A boat landed north of the Boynton Beach inlet on Saturday morning with 27 migrants, who were intercepted by police.
A police officer sitting in his patrol car at about 10:40 a.m. overheard a fisherman on a marine radio remark that a vessel had landed on the beach and migrants had run ashore, Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said.
Officer Darin Hederian found the boat and notified dispatch. Twenty-five migrants from Haiti and two from Ecuador were found hiding in bushes along A1A and taken into custody, authorities said.
