TAMPA, AUG. 11, 2016 –It is another Olympic year everyone wants to see it. Normally tucked away in a safe deposit box, Jason Rouser’s Olympic gold medal is displayed proudly in his Dade City home, more easily accessible for those who want to view what the current athletes in Rio strive for.
It’s been 20 years since Rouser won a gold medal as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team at the 1996 Olympic Games. But for Rouser, now in his second season as an assistant coach for USF’s track and field program, that moment from Atlanta seems more recent.
