Saturday's two-hour scrimmage at the Morsani Complex marked the 10th day of the Bulls' preseason camp, which seems as fitting a time as any for 10 general observations of the Bulls at this point:
1. QB derby: Bench by a nose
Our opinion on the Bulls' QB competition fluctuates like Lady Gaga's wardrobe. In the wake of the scrimmage, we'd give the edge to Steven Bench. Granted, the senior's inconsistency triggers palpitations, but he seems to throw a crisper ball and possesses mobility in his own right. On Saturday, the offense just seemed sharper -- albeit not by much -- with Bench running things.
