Proven coaches should be high on Arkansas’ head coach candidate list and there are several who make sense. Arkansas Football could go with a coordinator hire, and one, in particular, makes sense: Alabama OC Steve Sarkisian. They could also explore an NFL OC with ties to the college level - Joe Brady, now with the Carolina Panthers.
Muschamp’s firing won’t be cheap: It will cost about $13 million, plus money owed to assistant coaches who will be fired once the next head coach is hired. Muschamp showed promise early in his tenure, but struggled badly at the end, forcing a change.
