For South Carolina coach Will Muschamp, the Gamecocks’ next opponent reminds him of a team they have already played this season.
Muschamp told reporters this week that Western Carolina’s fast-paced offensive style is similar to that of SEC East foe Missouri, who the Gamecocks beat 31-21 earlier this month.
South Carolina welcomes the FCS Catamounts to Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“The tempo game is very similar to Missouri as far as snapping the ball quickly,” Muschamp said. “We have to be gelled up defensively as far as having our eyes in the right spots and getting our cleats in the dirt.
