Is South Florida quarterback Quinton Flowers “a poor man’s Lamar Jackson?” South Carolina’s Will Muschamp doesn’t see it that way.
“He’s nobody’s ‘poor man,'” Muschamp said.
Muschamp is building his team’s defensive game plan for the Birmingham Bowl around containing the elusive Bulls’ quarterback.
In 2016, Flowers has run for 1,425 yards – an average of more than eight yards per run – while completing 184 of 299 passes for 2,546 yards. Combining his running and passing, he’s accounted for 37 South Florida touchdowns.
“I don’t know that you’re going to contain him,” Muschamp said.
