Seven sacks is way too many to give up. And with three starters on the offensive front battling injuries, it could get worse for South Carolina.
During his weekly news conference, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp said three starters on the offensive line are day-to-day because of injuries, a further worry for an offense that allowed quarterback Jake Bentley to get sacked seven times in last week’s loss to Texas A&M.
Muschamp said guard Cory Helms and tackles Zack Bailey and Malik Young are fighting injuries ahead of Saturday’s matchup with Arkansas. He said Bailey is the most likely of the three to see action, and that their status likely will become clearer later this week.
