Wolfpack in a “bear” front? With a fierce N.C. State pass rush across the line of scrimmage, Will Muschamp is readying his offensive line to serve as animal control.
The Gamecocks’ head coach said he’s getting set to handle an onslaught from the North Carolina State defensive front during his weekly press conference before Saturday’s season-opening matchup.
Muschamp said the Gamecocks are preparing to roll out a variety of different looks to block the formidable Wolfpack defensive line of Bradley Chubb, Kentavius Street, B.J. Hill and Justin Jones.
“They do a good job stemming what I call the ‘bear front’ a lot, creating one-on-one matchups across the board with a linebacker rushing in the rush,” Muschamp said.
