At the close of spring practice, South Carolina footballcoach Will Muschamp had to have a sit down with one of his top running backs.
Rico Dowdle showed flashes of being a top back his freshmanseason. Then a broken bone in his leg ended his sophomore campaign early. Thisspring, a hamstring injury sidelined him for much of practice.
And that was the reason for the talk Tuesday.
“Rico and I had a long conversation,” Muschamp said. “A lotof the soft tissue issues go back to hydration. They go back to continuing tostrain the muscle all the time.
