Why is Zack Bailey raising his coach’s blood pressure?

Eric Wolford considers Zack Bailey very coachable.

It’s just that Wolford, South Carolina’s offensive line coach, has to do that coaching at a high volume sometimes to get the attention of Bailey, the Gamecocks junior right tackle.

“He responds to hard coaching,” Wolford said. “I think he likes when I yell at him, he really does. He likes to see how high he can get my blood pressure. I said, ‘As long as you take care of my kids and family if something bad happens, that’s fine.’”

Bailey, a 6-foot-6, 311-pound Summerville native, played on the interior of the offensive line his first two years of college but was moved to right tackle by Wolford, who was hired in January to coach the Gamecocks offensive line.
