What Mel Kiper thinks of Deebo Samuel’s NFL Draft stock

After a strong Senior Bowl week, Deebo Samuel has a chance to move into the first round of April’s NFL Draft, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper said Tuesday.

“He’s right in the mix to be a solid early to mid-second rounder,” Kiper said. “I wouldn’t count out late one. He’s got great versatility; he’s got great explosiveness.”

Samuel, a 6-foot, 210-pound Inman native, caught 62 passes for 862 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. He started 27 of his 30 career games for the Gamecocks and had 148 catches for 2,076 yards and 16 touchdowns in his career.
