COLUMBIA — South Carolina has lost women’s basketball player Tiffany Davis for the upcoming season after the reserve guard suffered a torn ACL in her left knee.
The junior from Houston suffered the injury Friday, according to USC. After consulting with team medical director Dr. Jeffrey Guy, Davis is scheduled to undergo surgery at a later date.
Davis played in 16 games last season, when USC went a program-best 34-3, shared its second consecutive SEC championship, and reached the Final Four for the first time. She has a career scoring average of 2.2 points, and has averaged 9.
