Coach Will Muschamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks got some good news on Thursday afternoon when the NCAA finally made its eligibility ruling on transfer Josh Belk: The former five-star defensive tackle can suit up this season.
Belk started his career at Clemson before transferring after the spring, citing family health reasons for the move. He was considered the No. 2 player in South Carolina and the seventh-ranked player at his position nationally by 247Sports. Belk, who also participated in the Army All-American Game, initially chose Clemson over a slew of other offers from programs like Auburn and Florida State.
