The #16 center in the class of 2013 according to 247Sports, Helms was offered by the likes of North Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia Tech before settling on Wake Forest. Helms transferred to South Carolina after two seasons despite overtures from several other programs, and had to sit out last season due to NCAA regulations.
College Career
Helms appeared in every game in 2013 and 2014 for Wake Forest, starting all but one. In 2013, he earned Freshman All-American honors for his efforts.
